After navigating the difficult journey through poverty and financial struggle as teachers, Caleb and Mary Beth found success through their sales careers, giving back as sales trainers, and accelerating their learning through entrepreneurship.

With their teaching backgrounds and passion to help the next generation, they founded Lutz Grow Sales & Marketing, a leading sales consulting firm dedicated to empowering salespeople and aspiring entrepreneurs with skillsets to upgrade their financial future. ​

Mary Beth grows up in the suburbs of Chicago. She has a knack for leadership and thinking outside the box, excels in academics, and starts down the path of becoming a school teacher.
Caleb grows up on a farm in south Georgia. The Lutz's lose their family farm, go thru a series of business start ups and failures, and relocate towards Atlanta to start fresh. Caleb pursues teaching as a career.
Mary Beth and Caleb start their teaching careers; Mary Beth at a small private school and Caleb as a substitute across 30 schools in Kansas City. They earn below the poverty line, feeling the struggle between making impact and financial instability.
Caleb, frustrated with high school's poor financial preparation, dives into books on financial literacy and leadership. He enters direct sales as a freelancer to gain skills, despite his vow to avoid all sales industries due to past failures from his upbringing.
Motivated by financial needs, Mary Beth shifts to Customer Service and Corporate Training. She identifies gaps for new hires and develops resources to support them. Her efforts earn her President's Club recognition and save the company hundreds of thousands in turnover costs.
Caleb begins his first sales job in a company with less than 15% retention after 8 weeks. After initial struggles, he befriends top closers, and 9 months later achieves Top 3 in the company out of 90+ sales reps. He is promoted to a Corporate Trainer the same month. Over the next 6 months, the training team achieves raising 8-week retention to over 50% with the same graduation metrics.
Mary Beth ventures out into advertising sales, and after some initial hiccups, finds the high-effort, high-reward environment she had longed to find. She becomes a 6-figure earner her first year, and finishes in the Top 5% in her department thru her tenure.
Caleb transitions to a more stable consultative sales career in logistics. He earns every bonus available thru his rookie year, and goes on to win President's Club multiple years as a top producer at a global company even thru pandemic economy.
Caleb meets Mary Beth in line at a networking event in October of 2020. They compare stories and find they've been living 10 minutes apart the past 5 years. Caleb gets Mary Beth's number to "talk sales". Two days later they go on their first date. Within the month, Caleb says "I Love You." Eight months later, they are engaged, and December of 2021 they are married.
Mary Beth continues in high end product sales as a top performer, both in corporate and freelance work. Caleb continues his freight consulting career. They both find that while they love the sales pursuit, their greatest joy comes when empowering others on the same journey.
Mary Beth shifts more towards high return freelance sales work, training sales teams, and formalizing their training material. Caleb starts his own freight agency to support the transition. He rebuilds clientele from scratch, and is eventually able to employ others and put more effort towards the Lutz Grow offerings you see today.
